as I mentioned the same problem in October 2019 to themebeez, there is until today and 3 more versions (1.1.4, 1.1.5 and 1.1.6) no change for this realy mess problem. You can do the following as a quick fix:
1. Create a Child-Theme from Cream-Magazin(Pro)
2. Next, you have to edit the e.g. banner-five.php in that way to span a <a .../> anchor to cover the whole post-element.
As a sample please see following code-snippet I attached to banner-five.php (1 big image left and 4 small images right)
<div class="<?php cream_magazine_thumbnail_class(); ?>" style="background-image: url(<?php esc_url(the_post_thumbnail_url( 'full' ) ); ?>)">
<!-- copyright by Rene-Manfred Bikardes (c) 2019 -->
<a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>" style="display: block; height: 100%; width: 100%; background-color: transparent;"/>
Now you will find an over-all link-function in the widget-areas. This is a realy smal and easy-to-code step with a powerfull function-result. You can add this snippet in any other widget-file on the propper position to "span" a anchor-href-link. A banner/slider widget without any "click"-functionality in it should not be saled for money.
To Themebeez-Dev's: This is a basic-functionality for any theme and should be served as fast as possible.
Have fun with it, RMB
