[Closed] Social Widget icons missing

Hi there,

a few months ago I added the Social Widget to the right footer of my website but today the social icons are missing (needless to say, I checked out the website with multiple browsers and devices, even different connections). Could you suggest a workaround?

Thank you in advance,
Marco Stefanini

Dear @markstf,

Thank you for posting here. We also noticed that you had sent us an email with the same issue. We already responded you at email but I will copy-paste the same message here for reference.

We inspected your website & noticed a clash between Font Awesome 4 and 5 libraries. We are using Font Awesome 4 in cream magazine pro where something is using Font Awesome 5. We doubted this may be a plugin that you are using. Will you mind to disable plugin one by one & check if that will fix the issue?

FYI: You can reply to this post too.

Thanks & regards,

Eric

Hello Eric,

the plugin that caused the issue is the updated version (4.0.3) of Another WordPress Classifieds Plugin (AWPCP). Unfortunately, we do need that plugin and we must find a way to fix the issue. We tried to downgrade the plugin (everything worked fine till version 3.9) but there is no way to keep it outdated.

Thank you so much,

Marco

Dear @markstf

I understand you completely. I personally installed "AWPCP - Classifieds Plugin" & checked it now has Font Awesome 5 library. It looks like AWPCP - Classifieds Plugin was using Font Awesome 4 library till version 3.9. This is the reason why the problem is caused. I am sure that this problem won't just cause in "Cream magazine free & pro" version but also with entire WordPress themes which are using Font Awesome 4 library.

SOLUTIONS:

- I found a setting under AWPCP - Classifieds Plugin. Follow this screenshot here & tweak plugin setting in version 4.0.3: http://tinyurl.com/y5plzz4u

- If 1st solution does not solve the issue or if that solves the theme social icon problem but then again creates an issue with AWPCP - Classifieds Plugin at front-end then only the solution that we have is to contact plugin author. You can ask him to add font awesome 4 support as plugin "Elementor" does. You can create a support ticket here https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/another-wordpress-classifieds-plugin/

Hope I was helpful. Looking forward to your response.

Best regards,

Eric

Hello Eric,

thank you for the tip. It worked but the updated AWPCP plugin has generated other issues not related to the theme. We are working on them right now.

Cheers,

Marco
